Im so excited for this issue of The Gleek.

Today I received my final article, which means Ill be posting out copies in the next few days. I already have some people on the mailing list, but if I sent you Issue 1 and you would like Issue 2, it would be great if you could confirm that for me. 

This issue contains:

  • An exclusive review of The Space Tour by Elona Finlay herself, who performed with the Starkids in NY and Canada.  
  • An interview with the Warbler Dominic Barnes.
  • Interview with the extraordinary band Shoot The Freak (h.i.la.r.i.o.u.s).

  • Interview with the talented designer Jump Jirakaweekul

  • Reviews by  fellow Gleeks.
  • & a review of my private Meet & Greet with Cory Monteith. 

This is FREE for anyone who wants a copy, anywhere in the world. Im sending them out at my own expense because I truly adore Glee and I want to share my love of it with everyone.

I recently had the honour of winning Australia’s Biggest Gleek competition and got to personally meet Cory Monteith for a 20 minute chat. So I gave him copies of The Gleek.

You should get in on this. This is my friend’s fan zine about all things Glee - and anything else cool. She has already gotten several demi-celebrities for interviews and a rep from Fox said she would promote the Zine on their offical Facebook page. Really you just have to ask yourself “when this blows up big time will I’ll be able to say I was there from the beginning?” Also, I have two mini pieces in this issue.

It was amazing though. It’s just that it is completely morning now…

But Curt commented on my Single Ladies reference about him and Kim so that was cool. And my friends Eleanor, Jump and Court all got mentions! Which was, ya know, AWESOME! Good times were had by all.

I’d like to take a moment to sincerely thank all of you who have really supported, encouraged and believed in me as I try and reach the stars.

Everyone. Whether I’ve known about it or not. I’m saying this from a genuine, heartfelt place. It all sounds cliche until you’re in that position of relying on others. Because SOMEONE (Ariel) had to go and write me a beautiful message on Facebook and it has me thinking about how lucky I am. How I have amazing love and support in the things I do. Thank you so so much.

I’m not writing this from the stars or because Amber tweeted me (I’m not THAT delusional, haha). I’m still very much on the earth but incredibly thankful to be even where I am now.

Firstly, I invented this beverage in an effort to include all the flavours and textures I know Butterbeer to include and how I imagine it: creamy, frothy, butterscotch, shortbread. Let me explain how. Obviously butterscotch is covered by a caramel made from butter and brown sugar (not to be confused with raw sugar). The excess fat from the butter and combined with milk makes it creamy. The vanilla is commonly used in baked goods, thereby reminding one of cakes and biscuits, and a dash of cinnamon adds warmth of flavour. When the milk is boiled it creates froth that rises to the top - make sure it doesn’t boil over. Oh, when it’s done, the fat in the butter will obviously rise to the top so not to worry when an attractive yellow film forms. To my taste this is damn near perfect butterbeer. If it could be carbonated then I would say it is perfection. Hayden you beautiful genius. I’m definitely giving this a whirl.  Although it probably won’t taste as creamy as your version I’m gonna try it out with soy milk (just as an effort to trim some of the fat from it). So excited!
