One of the Glee Project auditionees talks in his video about how he’s a pastor’s kid and that would be good on the show. I had to point out of course that Quinn Fabray is a pastor’s kid and, though I didn’t say this part, we’ve already dealt with that whole living-up-to-expectations issue a.k.a Quinn a la season 1.
Then he tries to tell me she isn’t a pastor’s kid. But doesn’t explain it. Just says she isn’t…ummm.

Now we wait for the nothing to happen because I’m Australian. This always has been a ‘put myself out there and hope for a miracle’ kind of thing.
But I shant get my hopes up like I did last time. I fooled myself into thinking lightning WOULD strike. This time I fully expect nothing.
And I’m not being pessimistic. I’m being realistic. It’s just a matter of hassle. If they can find people well enough in the US (and judging from last season they don’t mind dragging any old half-baked talent in) then why bother going through the effort of importing talent?
In fact, if something did happen, I would be very surprised if it got me on the Glee Project. I think they’d contact me about it as a separate endeavour.
I bet Damian was actually IN the States for his audition…they have so many technicalities to prove you’re American. #IHaveNoChance

I applied to the 2013 US Green Card Lottery - cause it’s free so I might as well - and made the decision to audition for both the Glee Project and The Voice (which is not to be mistaken for a fetish for talent shows).
Obviously I want to get somewhere and that somewhere is not Australia.
And before you say it, I can’t just ‘get a visa’. It’s an incredibly hard process unless you actually have a company seeking your services. You people in the US have no idea how lucky you are.
