But make no mistake: There is a plot to Hit List, which was carefully outlined by Safran and his staff. Initially, the writers toyed with the idea of doing “a modern-day Hamlet in the pop world,” but worried that it wouldn’t translate as a recognizable story. Instead, they channeled Safran’s fascination with modern musical divas (Lady Gaga, Pink, Madonna) into a tragic fable about the mutability of fame and identity. Here, for the first time, is the official synopsis of Hit List.

Smash, despite the problems with the writing, was a good show. I’m so upset that it’s been cancelled. I mean, the fact that it was still appealing despite those issues means it had something special. I’m obviously biased because I love musical theatre and the finale was a resounding high note but I think it was a mistake to cancel Smash.

I just spent way too much effort extracting the audio from the episode simply because the ending in the version already uploaded ends too abruptly for me. If you are also a perfectionist this is for you.
BRB replacing the Katherine McPhee version with this.
This is what I want to do to Jimmy every episode/scene he is in.
