I was thinking of making something I dubbed a “positivity collage”.
11It’s basically where I print a whole heap of the nicest YouTube comments I’ve ever gotten over the past year (because they’re the only things I have a record of) and stick them on my wall. Or perhaps, thinking about it now, in a scrapbook so that it’s not something I see every day but something I pull out when I need encouragement. It would grow as I receive more positivity from anywhere and would be a completely positive thing.
I thought of the idea a while ago because I realised that the only comments I can remember clearly were the ones that shook me. This lead to a further realisation that this is in fact something all humans do - we go over the bad moments so often in regret that we burn them into our minds. But what we really need, especially someone like myself who is choosing a career path filled with many unavoidable bad moments, is to have the good moments tucked away in a drawer to be taken out when you need to be held up by something.
To some it may seem like a vanity project but to me that’s just one more thought you wouldn’t find in my book; my “positivity journal”, it shall be called.
One of my favourite Christmas presents this year was 600 subscribers on YouTube!
