I have three songs I’m writing that I know of. One’s a really bluesy, belty track, then a slower piano track (like just a voice and a piano), and a musical theatre esque track. However, just to clarify, none of these actually resemble songs yet. They’re all just disembodied limbs of whole beings. I have general lyrics for one, a riff for another, and just really a concept for the last. I can tell you a little more about their subjects if you like. I’m not really doing this for any reason except because I can. I’m not expecting much of a response to it. It’s more of a creative exercise to push myself, to try song writing, to create, and to express myself in song. I’m sort of approaching it as a creative project rather than a career move or anything like that. Plus, I don’t see myself as a musician. I don’t have that desire to just be a singer - not that it wouldn’t be great - but I just feel singing and acting together or doing both in some capacity is who I am. And I’ve said before that this absurdly eclectic style of album would be what I’d create. And I am! Which is not something I’d really get the chance to do if it wasn’t a personal project. Basically one day when I’m famous for something else it will be nice to know I created this just the way I want it and people will see the album (EP) I wanted to make.

2I would want to do it in a really strongly themed way and almost like a the soundtrack to a musical. Like, the meanings of the songs and the order on the album would interplay and tell a story and although I’d need help I’d definitely have to be heavily involved in all the song writing - especially the lyrics. Plus the style would be very eclectic from sort of classical Broadway to R&B. Then any of the music videos would all be performed in a theatre on the same stage in a very theatrical way. Obviously with dancing and acting throughout. I’d also be tempted to say it would be done in front of a live audience.
So yeah, that’s my idea. I really want to do it but it’s the sort of crazy, left-of-centre concept that requires you to already be successful to work. And would probably be either make or break ones music career. It’s very risky but I’d do it anyway because it would be a major artistic expression.

Beyonce’s 1+1 Music Video
This was released within the past 12 or so hours and Beyonce is not getting positive reviews for it judging by the comments on YouTube. However, I just added my own opinion which has already garnered 11 likes (and counting).
What are you bitches complaining about? The video, though highly provocative, is incredibly artistic and visually intriguing. Kudos to whoever made it. I personally think that the songs on ‘4’ are finally showing off some of her immense vocal talent and that this song is a beautiful ballad. This is pure entertainment but you complain about soul. However, if she stripped it back you’d complain about the entertainment value. Just be satisfied with what you get.
I will forever stand by my hypothesis that YouTube brings out the judgemental bitch in a lot of people.
Best For Last - Adele
It saddens me that no one really knows much about Adele’s first album. It is much happier than the second one - which is of course brilliant too. This is one of my favourites of her songs. In fact, this is the song that first led me to Adele! I heard it on SYTYCD and looked it up.
