What the devil is going on here?!

The world used to be a bigger place.

It was so cool when I heard this while first watching the movie because it’s directly relevant to a philosophy of mine with the crux statement being:

“The more the world knows the less adventure it can hold.”

It’s pretty interesting stuff that I might post on here sometime.

I am interested to know YOUR view on the concept of “true love”. Do you think it exists? Is it something you can have with only one person in your life? Or is it something you earn/achieve in a relationship with the right kind of person? Is it all just a giddy Disney fantasy?

I’m gathering thoughts because I’m very interested to see what you think. So please respond to this post or message me with your thoughts!

Would you rather be very stupid but very attractive or very smart but very repulsive? #PhilosophicalPonderings

Personally I can see the benefit in both. And it really comes down to the ‘ignorance is bliss’ argument.

I think there are definitely things he’d be disappointed in. There’d be things he’d be surprised about. But I think overall he’d be pretty happy with where he’ll be in 11 or so years. I pretty much stayed true to myself and didn’t let bullshit change me. Though he’d definitely be surprised at the swear words, haha.

This is an excellent question to ask yourself. I recommend everyone think long and hard about it. And if the answer is predominantly “no” then what are you going to do change that? Do you think you need to change? Is it a bad thing that your 8-year-old self would disapprove? Would they understand? Or does this mean that you are in a place right now that you shouldn’t be? In fact, the same thought process can be applied to if you found the answer to be a “yes”. Time for some self-reflection.

I have a philosophical statement for debate: You cannot have both change and peace; change creates uncertainty which creates worry.
