I RSVP'd to watch the Livestream of "8" in an hour!
I watched a truly shitty play today.
Some of the worst acting I’ve seen. They slaughtered a play that, despite being Australian written, had potential.
Funnily enough, two of my friends did a scene from this play together in year 12 Drama and actually my friend who’s visiting is the person I went with to see this and he is one of the two who were in that scene. Anyway, within 20 seconds of that particular scene starting I had leant over and said ‘you guys were better.’
They just lacked…everything.
What’s really funny is that one of my ex-drama teachers was in it. I’ve seen her in a bit of community theatre and I always find it so funny that a drama teacher isn’t good at acting. If you can’t do, teach.
Anyway, thankfully I didn’t pay for my ticket because once you’ve been in a few shows on the Coast you know all the right people and I got in for free.
